The Victron Multi RS Solar 48/6000/100-450/100 (Double Tracker) is an advanced 48V 6kVA interactive hybrid inverter/charger designed for residential and commercial solar installations. Leveraging cutting-edge high-frequency technology, it packs a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an intelligent battery charger, a high-speed 50A transfer switch, and two completely independent 3kWp 450VDC MPPT solar charge controllers into a remarkably lightweight, compact enclosure. Its versatile design allows it to run as a traditional hybrid system, a pure off-grid system, or even as a battery-less grid-tied solar inverter that can be expanded with energy storage later.
Unlike earlier single-tracker variants, this dual-tracker model features two independent 3kWp MPPT inputs, allowing for a total solar array capacity of 6kWp. The wide 65V to 450VDC operating voltage range enables efficient high-voltage string configurations, significantly reducing DC cabling costs and simplifying installation. The dual trackers provide complete flexibility when dealing with East-West roof orientations or partial shading, maximising your daily solar harvest.
Thanks to its sophisticated high-frequency engineering, the Multi RS Solar operates at an impressive peak efficiency of 96.5% with very low zero-load power consumption. Weighing only 12.3 kg, it is a fraction of the weight of traditional low-frequency inverters in its class, making wall-mounting simple and efficient. It runs remarkably quietly, making it suitable for installations close to living or working spaces.
Equipped with Victron’s legendary power management algorithms, the system prevents grid or generator overloads by utilizing PowerControl (limiting incoming AC charge current) and PowerAssist (instantly adding battery power to assist a limited AC source during peak demands). It features two AC outputs: an essential output (AC-out-1) with an ultra-fast UPS transition to keep critical loads running during load-shedding, and a non-essential secondary output (AC-out-2) that is active only when grid or generator power is available.
System configuration, real-time monitoring, and historical logging are easily accessible via built-in Bluetooth using the VictronConnect app on a smartphone or laptop. For full system orchestration, the unit features integrated VE.Direct and VE.Can communication ports, allowing seamless plug-and-play integration with Victron GX devices (such as the Cerbo GX), managed lithium battery banks, and the online Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal.
