If I currently have two Hubble 5.5 kWh batteries and I want to add two more to my Dye 8kW inverter. Can I do it? Or is there an issue with the difference between the new and old batteries in terms of floating voltages and other parrallel discharge currents?
Hi Dirk,
Yes , you can add two more Hubble 5.5 kWh packs to your Deye 8 kW inverter, provided you follow the correct parallel‑addition procedure.
Hubble AM‑2 / 5.5 kWh batteries are officially approved for Deye inverters and communicate over CAN/RS‑485, so the new packs will talk to the inverter exactly as your existing ones do.
The Hubble spec allows up to 15 packs in parallel, far more than the four you plan. `
Float voltage mismatch is not an issue; LiFePO₄ is normally run with no float or a low float (≈ 54 V). The inverter will use the voltage targets broadcast by the battery BMS once CAN/RS‑485 comms is active.
Is this a LifeP04 battery ?
Hi, no it's not. It has an NMC chemistry (same as a Tesla Powerwall). See this article here for more info: https://www.solar-shop.co.za/content/27-Lithium-Ion-Batteries-Chemistries-NMC-vs-LFP
Will the Hubble AM2 5.5kWh 51V work with the RECTRON - AXPERT 5K inverter and does the inverter have ALL the correct settings to effectively charge the battery in such a way that one may have a) full use and b) the full guaranty as if it was a lithium specific inverter?
Hi Bernard, yes, this battery is used routinely with Axpert inverters.
The Hubble set up guide is here: https://www.hubblelithium.co.za/mecer
Is the Hubble AM2 (version 1 or 2?) compatible with the LinkQNet 5KVA King2 off grid inverter? We don't want online monitoring.
Hi Elize, yes, you will be able to use the Hubble AM-2 with this inverter.
Hi, Is this battery compatible with my Synapse 5K+ inverters, and if so, what size and how many batteries do I need, as I have 2 x Synapse inverters together with 24 Longi , 360W solar panels. Thanks
Hi Trevor, yes they work well with Synapse (an Axpert type) inverters. The number of batteries you need depends on your load requirements, so we couldn't say. You would need to calculate how much storage cpapcity you need.
Each battery can offer you 5kWh of storage
Hi, will this Hubble battery work with a KODAK Solar Off-Grid Inverter VMIII 5kW 48V? Or will the Pylontech be a better option ?
Hi Tim, yes it will work with the Kodak inverter. If you want monitoring of the system, you can add the Hubble Cloud Link available here: https://www.solar-shop.co.za/control-and-monitoring/613-hubble-cloud-link-for-hubble-am-and-x-series-batteries.html
but it is optional.
Good day,Could you please tell me if the Hubble AM 2 5kw /51v lithium battery is compatible with a Growatt spf 5Kw es inverte. If so what cables are required to connect other than power leads.Thank you.
Hi Tony. Yes it is. You can use it in manual mode or together with a Hubble Cloud link device.
Full details can be found here: https://www.hubblelithium.co.za/growatt-hubble-setup.html
Is the Hubble battery compatible with the SOL-I-AX-8MMecer Axpert 8K 8kVA / 8kW hybrid Pure Sine Wave Inverter?
Hi Letlothlo, ye it will work with this inverter, however if you want battery and inverter monitoring, you will need to get the RIOT Cloud Link device available here:
Is this battery compatible with the Axpert Voltronics VMIII Inverter (Kodak)
Hi Barry, it is only compatible if used with the RIOT Cloudlink cable available here:
