Reliable Backup Power with Advanced Lithium-Ion Batteries

Lithium-ion batteries offer significant benefits over traditional lead-acid options. They can be cycled many more times and allow for deeper discharges without sacrificing longevity—ensuring a more efficient and durable energy storage solution.

Our system stores approximately 10 units (10 kWh) of electricity. To help you visualize this capacity:

  • 200W Television: Enjoy continuous power for about 50 hours (200W × 50 hours = 10000 Wh).
  • LED Lighting: Power 40 LED lights at 5W each for around 25 hours (40 × 5W × 50 hours = 10000 Wh).
  • 1500W Kettle: Operate for roughly 6.6 hours (1500W × 6.6 hours ≈ 10000 Wh).
    (While boiling water for 6.6 hours might not be practical, it demonstrates the system's capacity!)

During a power failure, the system automatically switches from grid to battery power—and reverts back when grid power returns, recharging the batteries seamlessly. This is especially valuable in South Africa, where reliable power can be a challenge.

In addition to performance, lithium-ion systems require minimal maintenance and are designed with longevity in mind, making them an excellent investment for both residential and commercial applications.

Question

What does ex-Sunsynk mean? I'm passing my 5kW Sunsynk battery to my son so I can replace my system with this 8kW/10kW inverter/battery system. Do I still get a 2 year warranty from Sunsynk with this Ex-Sunsynk battery?

Answer

Hi Anwar

The Eenovance is the same battery as the Sunsynk branded unit that was available previously. These Sunsynk has ended its royalty agreement with the previous battery manufacturing factory (i.e. Eenovance) and these batteries are no longer being branded as Sunsynk batteries.

This means Sunsynk are now using different battery models, which are incompatible with the original Sunsynk 5.32, 10.65, 15.97KWH battery models. Moving forward:

Battery Add Ons: Only Eenovance batteries will be available to add to existing systems where the older Sunsynk batteries are installed.

Internal Components: The batteries use the same internal components and software as before.

Interoperability: The batteries have the same BMS and are 100% compatible with the old Sunsynk btteries.

Warranty: They come with a 10-year warranty.

Service: The distributor directly supports and repairs these batteries at 9 service centres across South Africa.

Cost: The absence of royalty fees makes these batteries more affordable.

Appearance: Note that the battery covers have changed in design so while the size will be the same as the Sunsynk, the covers will look different.
