While the Sunsynk Mobile 2.5kW 2kWh Loadshedder 2 is expandable, it is not officially supported to work with third-party battery brands like Sunnewo.
Here are the key details regarding battery expansion for this unit:
Expandable Ecosystem: The Loadshedder is designed to grow with your energy needs. You can parallel connect up to 6 Loadshedder modules together.
Verified External Batteries: The system can integrate with external solar storage batteries; however, Sunsynk has only verified compatibility with three specific models: SUN-BATT-5.32, SUNSYNK-L5.1, and L051069-A.
Third-Party Batteries: Connecting unverified brands like Sunnewo is not recommended. It can lead to communication issues with the Battery Management System (BMS) and may affect the manufacturer's warranty.
If you already have Sunnewo batteries or prefer to use them, a standard standalone hybrid inverter (such as the Sunsynk 3.6kW or 5kW) would be a much better fit, as they offer broader compatibility with various third-party battery brands.
