FlameBlock Lithium Black is a 9 litre extinguisher that was uniquely formulated fire extinguishing agent that was specifically developed to kill lithium-ion battery fires.

Lithium Black is made of a specific formulation of minerals and salts.

This distinctive formulation does the following to a lithium-ion battery fire:

  • Extinguishes the fire.
  • Brings the temperature of the batteries down to 80ᵒC.
  • Keeps on cooling the battery.
  • Interferes with the chemical reaction of the battery.
  • Interferes with the oxygen radicals released by the lithium.
  • Covers the battery to prevent gasses escape.
  • Discharges the battery to prevent re-ignition later.
