    Hi there Solar panels need to be able to withstand 25mm diameter hailstones weighing 7.53 grams traveling at a velocity 23 metres per second (82.8 kilometres per hour) per international standards (IEC61215). Particularly good quality modules in this regard will withstand larger hail traveling at a faster speed. Regards Solar Shop Support

    Hi Gerrit. Nope not a problem. The Axpert will delver a max of 400W of solar. This doesn't mean you can't connect more than 4000W. For the vast majority of time, the panels will produce far less than 4000W anyway. Regards Solar Shop Support

    What is the exact size of this panel? Why is some panels specifically named Canadian, meaning is it a better brand vs let say Chinese panels and how do you tell the difference so that you know you are getting a good quality panel? Answer:
    Hi Jannie, the panel is 992mm x2000mm. Canadian Solar is a well known brand. Their name does not imply anything in terms of the quality of the panel. Look for panels that have a minimum 10 year warranty and are from producers who are on the BNEF list of Tier 1 manufacturers. Both our Canadian Solar and JA Solar panels are from Tier 1 producers. You wont go wrong with either.

    Hi. When looking at monocrystaline which are still good in cloudy conditions, how does a Canadian panel perform under cloudy conditions? Thanks Answer:
    Hi Francois. There is no (or negligible) performance difference under cloudy conditions. Mono tend to be more efficient under warmer conditions, but the difference is very small in practice. You won't be able to measure it on a smallish installation. Thin film panels work a bit better under low light conditions but because they are less efficient they tend to be much bigger. They also degrade quicker and come with a shorter warranty. We don't sell this type of panel.
