questions Barry on 06/08/2020

I only need one inverter and will not be using a string configuration. Question: What are the main differences between the RCT-AXPERT VM3 5KVA inverter and the MUS-SOL-I-AX-5NB. It seems that they are almost the same with the main difference that the RCT-AXPERT VM3 5KVA can not be stringed. I see there are also slight differences in input of PV power and AC charging current. The Bluetooth and removable panel is a added benefit. To end of which of the two inverters would you say would be the best/ most reliable. My current PC array are 6 x Canadian Solar 335W in series

Hi Barry.

Main differences:

Parallel use: VMIII - No, MKSII - Yes

Li-ion battery coms: VMIII - Yes, MKSII - No

Bluetooth App: VMIII - Yes, MKSII - No

If you don't need to parallel them, then the VMIII is better value.

questions Schalk on 05/08/2020

I want to permanently use this inverter without batteries, only for saving on my Eskom Utility bill and to run essentials during Load-shedding and during the day. Will it be able to handle running without batteries in the long run?

Hi Schalk, yes it will, however during periods where there is no grid power, your load power you will obviously be subject to the vagaries for variable solar production.

questions Shane on 01/03/2020

What battery type would I require for this inverter

Hi Shane

This inverter can run lead acid batteries or Pylontech lithium ion batteries,

For lead acid, you would need a minimum of 4  x 12V batteries, since the inverter battery input is a 48V one.

questions Anand on 24/02/2020

for Invermax Solar Off-Grid Inverter VMIII 5kW 48V: If I am to connect this battery to the pylon 3000, what else would I need to buy? Also, can this inverter automatically switch between grid and utility? meaning that when power is off, can it automatically switch to storage and when power is back switch back to grid while using gri to charge battery?

Hi Anand, you will need a cable pack, a fuse box and a bracket. The inverter automatically switches over to battery or solar when the mains fails.

questions Alru on 19/02/2020

Is the VMIII 5kW 48V able to mix power from solar panels and grid at the same time. eg. 1000w from the panels and 1000w from utility for example?

Hi Alru, yes it has this capability.

questions Gert on 19/02/2020

Can this inverter run in parallel?

Hi Gert, no the VMIII's cannot run in parallel. You will need an MKSII or a King to do this

questions J Bornman on 12/02/2020

Do you have to use a Pylon tech cable between the batteries and the invertor

Hi, no you would use the cable included with the inverter to communicate with the Pylontech battery
