The US2000 is an HESS solar battery system provided by Pylontech, developed with their own lithium iron phosphate cell to ensure the highest safety value and most promising life cycle. A self designed BMS protects the cell from abormal temperature, current, voltage, SoC and SoH.
Advantages
You can now register the Pylon US2000 for an additional 3 years of manufacturer warranty for free. Go to http://www.pylontech.com.cn/service/support and complete the information in the 'sign up battery' page.
You can optionally add mounting brackets to this product for a stable base, and to allow easy stacking of multiple solar battery units.
![]() | Question: You list battery brackets for stacking and list price of R650. I assume each battery needs two brackets... Is the price for each bracket or a set. If I want 8 batteries, what is needed to connect 4 together and stack another 4 on top... How many cables how many brackets and what cables are needed to connect to 5Kw invertor |
Answer: Hi Gary. the price is for a pair of brackets. You need one pair per battery. The batteries come with small link cables to connect to each other.
![]() | Question: Hi there. What are the dimensions of the Pylontech US2000 2.4kWh Li-Ion Solar Battery. Will it fir into a 19" rack mount case? Thanks |
Answer: Hi Sean the battery dimensions are 442*410*89mm and is designed to be mounted in a 19" rack, although support for the weight is required.
![]() | Question: Is the Pylontech US2000 2.4kWh Li-Ion Solar Battery 50 or 100ah, and compatible with Axpert 5KW inverter, which LI is 100ah. Thanks |
Answer: Hi Craig. It is 50Ah x 48V = 2.4kWh. It is compatible with Axpert 48V inverters, although it will only communicate directly with the VMIII model (either Kodak or Mecer or RCT) or the King.
![]() | Question: Hi, I am buying 5KVA Voltex inveter and i want to use lithium USB2000 battery. How many will i need for that 48v, 5Kw inverter? |
Answer: Hi Mpho. The size of the inverter is not the determining factor. Your battery requirements will be determined by the size of your load (in kW) and duration that you wish to run the load for. Let us know what that is and we can assist in sizing the batteries correctly.
![]() | Question: i have 4x200amph batteries deep cycle running my 5kw hybrid inverter, how many of the pylontech US3000 will i need to replace them and will they run the same time under the same load. |
Answer: Hi Charles, Storage capacity of 4 x 200Ah batteries = 4 x 12 x 200 *0.5 = 4,8kWh at the recommended DOD of 50% (Actual storage capapcity also depends on a bunch of other factors like operating temp and size of current draw) Storage capacity of 2 x US3000 = 2 x 3500Wh x 0.8 = 5,6kWh at the recommended 80% DOD. So 2 x US3000 will give you 16.6% more run time on the same load. BUT 2 x US3000 will only deliver 3.5kW of peak power through the batteries alone. Lead-acid can deliver much higher instantaneous power but to the detriment of the longevity of the lead-acid batteries.
![]() | Question: Can I mix batteries with different capacities of the same brand? I currently have US2000 2.4kWh but want to get the PYLONTECH LITHIUM ION 3.5KW US3000B batteries. |
Answer: Hi Godwin. Yes you can mix the US2000 and the US3000
![]() | Question: Does this come with the cables? Which brackets can be used to mount the battery on the wall? |
Answer: Hi Jo, no you need to purchase a single cable set per set of batteries, i.e. you need one cable pack whether you have 1 or 5 batteries in your system. The are no wall mount brackets, but we do sell a wall mount box, that can house 2 x US2000's. You can find it here: https://www.solar-shop.co.za/cabinets/305-pylontech-vertical-wall-mount-45u-2-x-us2000b.html
![]() | Question: Hi is the Pylontech Pylon US2000B Plus 2.4kWh Li-Ion Battery compatible with an axpert 5kva invertor? |
Answer: Hi Warren. Yes, it is. However if you want to be able to extract all the information from the batteries BMS (in-built software) system accurately, you should use either this Kodak version of the Axpert: https://www.solar-shop.co.za/voltronic-axpert-inverters/269-kodak-solar-off-grid-inverter-vmiii.html or this one:
![]() | Question: Hi, Can I use this Pylontech Pylon US2000B Plus 2.4kWh Li-Ion Battery with any system voltage, 12V, 24V, or 48V? I have not purchased an inverter as yet but would possibly go for the Axpert 3KVA, 24V or Axpert 5KVA 48V unit. Will it be possible to add an additional battery at a later stage? |
Answer: Hi Joe, the Pylontechs only work on 48Vdc, so you'll need a 48V inverter. No problem adding an additional battery at a later stage
![]() | Question: If I am 2000 watts, ie, my inverter says 2000watts load, how long will one of these run before they are depleted? |
Answer: Hi Andries, Approximately 1 hour. 2.4kWh x 0.8 (DOD) = 57 minutes
![]() | Question: I am using 16x105amh deep cycle batteries presently but want to change to lithium-ion. How many off these batteries, 2.4kwh, would I need to replace what I am using now? I am also in proses off changing my invertor to a 3,6 kW hybrid inverter |
Answer: Hi Marius, based on a 50% DOD on your existing batteries you would need between 3 and 4 of the Pylons.
