The US3000 is a HESS battery system provided by Pylontech, developed with their own lithium iron phosphate cell to ensure the highest safety value and most promising life cycle. A self-designed BMS protects the cell from abnormal temperature, current, voltage, SoC and SoH.

    Hi - just to check that I understand the 3.5kwh rating properly... if running to 80% DoD, that means this unit delivers 2.8kwh? Secondly, please clarify what the 5kw vs 1.8kw rating is? Is the max achievable discharge rate? Lastly, is this compatible with the Axpert 3kva 48v and 5kva 48v hybrid inverters? Thanks. Answer:
    Hi KishYes, that's correct, 2.8kWh. They can surge at around 100A for 15 seconds = 100 x 50V - 5kW. (this limit is to protect the battery cells). Their recommended everyday use is 37A, i.e. around 1.8kW.They'll work quite happily with these inverters and in fact are guaranteed by Pylontech provided certain settings are maintained on the Axperts.Regards Solar Shop Support

    Have you seen (with your own eyes) or has anyone you know seen the Pylontech 3000 batteries working with the Sofar solar me 3000 sp ? Answer:

    Hi there. 1st question: Is it possible to get this battery working with Schneider Conext XW+ Inverter and Conext MPPT 60 150 PV Solar Charge Controller. Needing to replace my Gel batteries. 2nd question: If two or more of these units were used in parallel would you be able to draw a greater surge and everyday use current?     Is the PylonTech USB3000 battery compatible with the Victron Quattro 48V 10kVa Inverter/Charger? The Victron web site says only the USB2000B and the USB2000B Plus are compatible. Answer:

    Hi Marius the DIP switch positions have no effect. The Axpert inverter is incapable of reading the Pylontech BMS

    Hi Mervyn. Pylon US3000: Usable capacity = 3.5kWh x 0.8 = 2.8kWh (at recommended discharge of 80% DOD). Current operation at 0.5C, ie 37Amps @48V per battery. Cycles @ 80% discharge >4500. Warranty 10 years manufacturers. Omnipower 240Ah Gel: Usable capacity = 12kWh *0.5 = 6KWh (at recommended discharge of 50% DOD. Current: variable (high will lower overall storage capacity.     I am planning of installing 2x MKII 5 inverters so I run the entire house via the inverters (also makes wiring 'n bit easier using existing db). Due to the 10years life expectancy, I want to use pylon batteries, however the max Amp output seems a bit low and I don't want the system to just kick out due to the batteries not capable off discharging enough Amps. • What would you recommend? 4x pylon 2.4kWh units? What would the max output Amp be? Answer:

    I understand the Pylontech US3000 is compatible with the Goodwe 4.6kW inverter (ES model). However, the Goodwe app only lists the US2000 series batteries. While the system still works, the inverter and the US3000 batteries do not seem to communicate with each other. Have to experienced this problem before and do you have a solution? Answer:

    Hi Pravin, please let us know make and model of your inverter. If it is a 48V machine then your voltages don't follow. If you have an Axpert type inverter that is 48V, you can use Pylontech batteries on it.

    1. I struggle to work out exactly what I can power with this battery with a MKS II inverter. For instance would it be able to power the following for max 8 hours continously as a back-up system for when the grid fails: 8 * 20w led flood lights 4 * 40w led flood lights 2 * 30w energizers2. if I draw the above said power from this battery for 8 hours what would the DOD be? Answer:
    Hi Jaco. You will have a load of (8 x 20) + (4x40) + ( 2x 30) = 380Wh. The usable capacity of the US3000 is 3.5kWh x 0.8 = 2800Wh. 2880Wh/380Wh = 7.36 hours of backup per fully charged US3000 assuming the standard 80% DOD that these batteries offer.
