Hi There,I'm interested in this product. Please confirm the MPPT's are integral in the inverter? What is the warranty period? Can it work with both solar panels and wind turbines? How much is the app/equipment needed for me to be able to remotely view and monitor the system performance? What data does it record for me to monitor? Do you have to do the installation or can it be done by any electrician? What surge protectors or other safety devices do I need to protect it from damage?Kind Regards,Michael Answer:
Hi Michael. Yes, the MPPT's are integral. The warranty is a 5-year manufacturers warranty. It is designed to work with solar panels not wind turbines. To remotely view data you need a wifi connection and you need to buy the wifi stick (available here: It records a range of data to numerous to cover here, but at a minimum gives live and historical power production information. The free monitoring app can be found here: It can be installed by an electrician. Surge protection on the DC side can be quoted on. All AC side requirements can be addressed by an electrician. Does need batteries to work. Answer:
Hi Joe. Grid tie inverters don't use batteries, they just produce electricity which must be used in real time. Regards Solar Shop Support

Can you use this in conjuction with the 5kw off grid kit if so what accessories do you need Answer:
Hi Riaan, while they can both work independently on the same household grid, they will need separate panels. For this reason, you can but a hybrid inverter that does both grid ti and backup. You can find one here: Regards Solar Shop Support

max panels that I can use on this inverter ? how many units will it produce per day with max panels Answer:
Hi Jacques. You would ideally install around 5500W worth of panels on this inverter. The units it will produce will vary according to the direction they face the angle they are installed at, the temperature under which they operate, the time of year, the location of the installation, etc. As a VERY rough guide, you can expect to make around 20-30 Units per day with 5.5kW of panels. Can I use this Inverter in a off-grid PV solar panel configuration, with battery back-up? Answer:
Hi Lambert, no you can't. It is purely a grid tie inverter and as such has no ability to accept batteries.
