Hi, Want to know, if the inverter is ratted at 5kw, and it is connected to ESKOM mains. Can this inverter handle more then 5kw if the load demand it? What I mean is, the ESKOM side have a supply of more then 5kw, can the inverter supply from the ESKOM side to the load side supply more then 5kw ratting? And if so can the smaller inverters do this as well? Thanks, Des. Answer:
Hi Des. No unfortunately not. 5kW max on the output other than some brief surge capabilities.

Hi, thanks for the respond. Following my question before. The inverter ratting withe the surge is clear to me. What I mean, can I flow 10KW from the ESKOM side through the inverter-box to the mains if demanded, as this power is not from the inverter. So the inverter limitations will not have a effect on the ESKOM side? Answer:
Hi Des, no you can't. You can only push 5kW through it. Regards Solar Shop Support

Good Morning The "Off grid Solar kit - 5kva" comes with the Mecer Hybrid inverter Axpert MKS 5K. Can I get the DIY 5kva kit with the Mecer Plus 5kw hybrid PV inverter and what is the difference between the two inverters? Answer:
Hi Marius, there are a number of differences, but essentially the MKS II has a much larger MPPT voltage range and a little more functionality in terms of it's solar/grid interaction capabilities. Drop us an email with what you need and we can send you a quote.
